The innovation of technology has allowed the workforce to be expanded- increased the pool of potential employees who require low salaries.

Web 2.0 has shifted the web from static pages to interactive pages featuring free software and shifting comptuer use from the desktop applications to actual internet use of various applications
Allowed for global collaboration, 24/7

Students no longer will have rely on teacher's notes or even their physical attendance of a lecture, instead they can take full advantage of media through podcasts.

With the innovation of calendars that can be accessed by various users and synchronized, parents can be readily made aware of students homework and activities.

Google Earth has given student instant access to sattelite data where they literally have the world at the finger tips, this can be used in Social Studies curriculum.

Students can be surveyed/polled through Google eart to give the teacher feedback, while mainitaining the students privacy - allows for a quick way for students to have the "non-traditional" conference with teachers.
